Syserco specializes in design, installation, and maintenance of energy management systems. They have a robust portfolio of over 2,500 client sites from office buildings to campuses to healthcare facilities.
With several offices, multiple subsidiary companies, and hundreds of employees, their Vista environment is complex. The out-of-the-box suite was not sufficient for their needs.
In a growth phase, Syserco approached Cassell to develop custom reports and automated dashboards to help analyze business finances & project performance across multiple segments.
What started out as one custom-app has turned into a multi-year partnership that has produced several apps, integrations, and reports.
Recently, Syserco’s management team came up with the issue that the team had no way to capture sufficient data to analyze project’s profitability and project manager performance. Most of the data required already resided in Vista but spanned multiple forms & modules and lacked an analysis tool.
Over the course of several months, we built a custom interface in Vista that auto populated with existing accounting data and added user-defined fields where Vista lacked sufficient structure. A database view was then created, combining Vista fields with multiple complex calculated fields. The final product was an Excel report that automatically retrieves and recalculates data, displaying custom KPI information for all agreements and project managers on one page.
